Good location, tasty food and kind service.

LOVE this place. We have traveled to Venice beach three times since 2012. The first time we just found this place randomly and tried it (it was great) and now the past two times we have actively sought it out because it was so good. The food here is fresh and flavorful. My favorite is the California Focacetti (a delicious salad like entree a top cheesy focaccia). Venice beach can be a little crazy, but this place is a wonderful little spot for really good food. It is also right on the boardwalk, so if you sit outside you can see the beach.

Great food and service

This is the first place I tried cornmeal pancakes, they are actually really good. The omelets are really good too. I have only tried breakfast since I get there around 8am which also allows me to take advantage of the 50% discount. Coffee could be better but not bad, workers are great too. I highly recommend trying the cornmeal pancakes and omelets.

Great atmosphere as you are sitting overlooking Venice Beach. The food was okay, but definitely not worth what they were charging! Service was also quite slow

Have not been there for 3 years. But as good as ever. So good. Great coffee. My sever,waiter ,the Mexican guy was awesome, great service.

Sat outside in the patio, pretty good view, good service, sandwiches didn't have much flavor but the salad was good. Great service. B+

Figtree's Cafe is a proper place where you can start your day. Nice friendly and fast service. I ordered a smoked turkey omelette and was tasty and big enough portion. The cafe is great as well. Recommend it!

You go there more for the location than food. Food delivery was fairly slow after order, although we did have a time constraint that might have made it feel longer. I also ordered my burger without cheese, but it came with cheese. Not able to scrape it off as it was thoroughly melted, and we could not wait for a replacement. Good if you want to sit in the sun by the beach, food is OK.

Special on fish tacos was a good deal and very tasty. Not much of a selection of beer on tap, but the Newcastle in a bottle hit the spot. We sat outside next to the walk and enjoyed watching the strolling tourists. One highlight was watching a local fellow hang out with his pretty blue Macaw, attracting the women by offering to let them hold and photograph the bird. Fun was had by all.

Set up like a cafeteria. You can choose add-ons or have custom sandwiches made. Many choices including those trying for health or on special diets. Quick and tasty. But do not recommend Mac and cheese. Brussel sprouts done well and all our sandwiches were yummy. This could be a cheap or pricey lunch depending on selections.

The food was amazing. The homemade salsa paired perfectly with the potatoes. Fritzy was awesome and the entire staff was really nice.

Head here for breakfast weekdays between 8am and 9am for half price breakfast. Great range of omelettes with fresh ingredients. Melbourne coffee rating 5/10.

Ate here for breakfast 10-13-2018 - cold and rainy morning, warm and cozy here sitting outside staring at the ocean. The food AND service was really excellent, friendly and fast. Make this a destination if you are going to Venice Beach!

Really good for a beach side restaurant.All the staff was friendly and attentive. My iced americano came out tasting a little like alcohol for some reason but overall good for the whole family.

Mi secret spot for a relaxing coffe on the middle of Venice strand. It’s a 5 star place but I put 4 as I think they could do better with decoration and ambience. The stuff is very friendly and nice.

Great place to people watch in the morning while enjoying a scrumptious breakfast. Half off 8-9am but on weekdays, not on weekends anymore.

Great location right on Venice Beach. Food was pretty good, definitely some of the healthiest I've found around town. Service was adequate but not overly friendly. Coffee was good for American coffee.

Its not your typical 5 star restaurant but they have definitely earned a 5 star rating because they make delicious food on the venice boardwalk with an unparalleled people watching atmosphere. Its clean and service is always friendly. Please stop by if you're in the area for breakfast!

Food and spot on the beach we're good. Because all outside areas do not have a canopy, seagulls overhead can make a mess on your table. Ick!!

This was the cutest little cafe on the strip at Venice beach and the food was so delicious! I was definitely not disappointed!

Food was quite OK, views were stunning! 3 stars only because of the super non friendly waiter!!! Whatever country he is from - he contradicts all features of an American - not friendly, rude and full of himself..I didn't enjoy my being in the cafe!

Always brunch here on Venice Beach! Love then for cutting up strawberries for my champagne! Chef is incredible! Food is healthy and delicious!!! Service is great but ambiance could be better. Can’t see ocean through wind blocking windows and rehab Nextdoor comes with a lot of catcalling/crazy conversations. lol- Chairs and tables are packed together and uncomfortable to maximize customers and make sure you don’t stay all day I guess. Flies are crazy, they should just open everything up to the beach/boardwalk! I’ve been coming here FOREVER! You won’t be disappointed!

A casual cafe at the popular and usually crowded Venich beach of Los Angeles city. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available nice for coffee drinks or food. Open from early in the morning for breakfast, the sevice is good from helpful and polite staff.

Visited at 5:30pm on Thursday. Hostess was absent when we arrived, so we sat ourselves. Just ordered drinks (margarita and tequila sunrise) which took some time to order but came out reasonably quickly and tasted ok.The outdoor patio was about 90% filled while we were sitting there. There was one waiter, who was very polite, but inadequate for the number of people needing service. The hostess was rarely at the front to greet people. Walking inside, and I could see a large number of unwashed/used dishes. At least 4 groups of people were seated, and left because no service was given to them in any reasonable amount of time. Wouldn’t recommend coming here, at least during the week, even just for a quick drink during happy hour. Too many other establishments in close proximity that have better service with similar prices.

Nice cafe with delicious menu, outdoor patio seating by the beach, heating towers, courteous n polite staff. overall nice place to munch.

The place is quite good, food is okay, but could be better. The place is amazing! In front of the beach, and the prices are affordable.

So spending a day out walking and enjoying the area we decided to grab a bite to eat and sit down for a while. Found this place and the menu looked interesting. Order placed, service slow. Food delivered and I would say I found it to be just average. I wouldn't return there.

Illegally asked us for our service dog’s papers and then illegally discriminated against a disabled individual and refused us restaurant seating (even on the patio) because we didn’t have documentation on us. Per the ADA, you are allowed to ask two questions - if the animal is a service animal (they never asked - we volunteered that she is), and what the animal is trained to do. They never asked either question and instead insisted on seeing her “documentation”. When we said we didn’t have “documentation” on us, we were told the best they could do is make her sit on the sidewalk outside the patio while we ate. This is illegal discrimination and not allowed under federal law.

Great brunch! Loved the coconut pineapple scone! I didn't know, but before 9am everything is 50% off. Super worth it!

Tourist trap. As other people have commented this restaurant IS NOT DOG FRIENDLY. I went into the restaurant today to speak with the manager about their pet policy. The rude manager refused to talk to me about or read the CA statute regarding outdoor dining areas and pets I brought with me. He kept saying it was the health department but this is FALSE. Venice is a dog friendly neighborhood. Locals stay away.

It worth it just for the Ocean beach and Sunset views, but it helps that they have really good food as well

When I visit Venice beach this is my go-to place. One of the best patios on boardwalk, amazing quality of food and price points and great friendly service.

The food was good. The Vegan Ruben had tofu instead of tempeh, so that was a let down. Our server was excellent and the Venice Beach ambience is always peace. The Tea Lattes were good for a restaurant... It's good by the beach food!

Really nice place - the people that work there are fantastic, very conscientious, and the food was terrific. The view of the beach and people watching was great but because it is on the boardwalk, it was pricey.

8am - 9am half price breakfast and great service
